APPLICABILITY – SECTION 135

CSR is applicable to every company (including its holding, subsidiary or associate company) which in any financial year meets any of the following criteria:

Net Profit or More

CSR SPEND REQUIREMENT

Eligible companies must spend at least 2% of the average net profits of the company made during the 3 immediately preceding financial years on CSR activities.

  • Unspent amount can be transferred to a 'Unspent CSR Account' within 30 days.
  • Amount in Unspent CSR Account must be spent within 3 financial years.
  • If unspent even after 3 years, transfer to a Fund specified in Schedule VII, within 30 days.
